Quotations from other authors or entities need to be preserved as they are in writing. I use a lot of quotations in my books. My difficulty with that is manifold. ProWrite tries to correct mistakes in the quotations. #1 That falsifies the quote if I change it. If not, then I have a mess on my document.
#2 The stats come out way off and I am told that my writing stinks. That is humiliating for a pompous fellow like me. Seriously, however, I cannot gauge my work to gain a degree of confidence. Trying to fiddle with MS WORD to isolate the quotes requires a lot of effort... did I say a lot of effort, yet? It takes more of my time than writing, (the bigger the chapter).
Please find a solution. I am a developer too. Using two abstruse or "never used" characters in the font set is easy. Put one at the start of the quote and a different one at the end, You may even use 2 or 3 abstruse characters to make the exception unlikely to ever be duplicated as common text. And as your engine tests the writer's writings it omits processing the dreaded quotations. That would take less than a day to accomplish. And I will gladly offer you my help to accomplish that. Consult with me and I will help you test it. I have 40 years of software development, in my back pocket.
Whatever I can do to assist you to make it happen soon I will do and many others will thank you for this imperative feature. I promise to buy the lifetime version as soon as I get that feature.
By the way, Great product, so far.
I tested Grammarly for a year and I like ProWritingAid a lot better. I will gladly give you a great recommendation when you get this noose around my neck. Many thanks...
