PWAE: Underlinding Aftifacts with iA Writer

Colored underlining remains onscreen after quitting a session with iA Writer. Artifacts disappear after quitting PWAE. Haven't noticed this issue with other apps yet.
Using PWAE on a desktop Mac with Big Sur (11.7.7) and iA Writer 6.0.10.
Update: Seeing the same issue with macOS TextEdit app.
